PROHIBITED ITEMS AND SERVICES

Zamda is committed to providing a responsible online classifieds platform for individuals and businesses across the United States.

This Prohibited Items and Services Policy (“Policy”) explains which products, services, and activities are not permitted on Zamda and which categories are subject to additional restrictions.

Zamda is operated by ZAMDA LLC, a California limited liability company.

Our rules may be stricter than applicable law. An item may be legal to own or sell in certain circumstances but still be prohibited from advertising on Zamda.

The availability of a listing category does not mean that every product or service within that category is permitted.

This Policy applies to listings, offers, advertisements, user messages, and attempts to arrange transactions through Zamda.

It supplements our Terms of Use and Community Guidelines.

1. Weapons, Ammunition and Explosives

Prohibited on Zamda:

• Firearms, including handguns, rifles, shotguns, and other guns.
• Firearm receivers, frames, unfinished receivers, and conversion devices.
• Ammunition, ammunition components intended for ammunition manufacture, and reloading supplies.
• Firearm suppressors, silencers, and similar regulated accessories.
• Firearm parts or accessories intended to unlawfully modify a weapon.
• Switchblades, butterfly knives, concealed weapons, and other weapons restricted by applicable law.
• Tasers, stun guns, brass knuckles, and other weapons or weapon-like self-defense devices.
• Pepper spray, mace, and chemical self-defense products.
• Explosives, fireworks, detonators, and pyrotechnic devices.
• Bomb-making materials, explosive precursors offered for harmful purposes, and prohibited weapon components.
• Chemical, biological, or other prohibited weapons.

These restrictions apply regardless of whether a particular item may be legally owned or transferred through a licensed dealer.

Ordinary sporting goods and tools are not automatically prohibited merely because they could be misused, but Zamda may remove items marketed primarily as weapons or that present unacceptable safety risks.

2. Illegal Drugs, Cannabis and Controlled Substances

Prohibited on Zamda:

• Illegal drugs and controlled substances.
• Marijuana, cannabis, THC products, and recreational cannabis products, including where certain sales may be legal under state law.
• CBD products intended for human or animal consumption or marketed with therapeutic claims.
• Prescription medications and controlled prescription drugs.
• Prescription-only veterinary medications.
• Steroids, prescription hormones, and controlled performance-enhancing substances.
• Drug paraphernalia primarily intended for unlawful drug use.
• Products advertised for the unauthorized manufacture, distribution, or use of controlled substances.

Zamda does not facilitate prescription drug sales or regulated cannabis transactions.

3. Tobacco, Nicotine, Vaping and Alcohol

Prohibited on Zamda:

• Cigarettes, cigars, and tobacco products.
• Nicotine products, including nicotine pouches.
• Electronic cigarettes, vape devices, vape liquids, and related vaping products.
• Alcoholic beverages, including beer, wine, spirits, and homemade alcohol.
• Products or services designed to circumvent age verification or applicable licensing requirements.

These restrictions apply even when a particular seller holds a license to sell such products elsewhere.

4. Animals and Animal-Related Restrictions

Animal listings require special care and compliance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.

4.1 Prohibited Animal Listings

Zamda prohibits:

• Animals offered through illegal breeding, trafficking, or commercial practices.
• Endangered, threatened, protected, or illegally captured wildlife.
• Wild-caught animals sold without required legal authorization.
• Animals intended for fighting or other unlawful activities.
• Animals offered through misleading or fraudulent adoption arrangements.
• Animal products obtained through unlawful cruelty, poaching, or wildlife trafficking.
• Animals whose ownership, possession, transfer, or sale is prohibited in the relevant jurisdiction.

As an additional Zamda platform rule, commercial listings for the direct sale of dogs and cats by breeders or pet stores are not permitted.

This is a Zamda policy and should not be interpreted as a statement that every breeder sale is illegal in the United States.

4.2 Animal Listings That May Be Permitted

Subject to applicable law and Zamda policies, the following may be considered:

• Genuine shelter and rescue organization adoption listings.
• Responsible rehoming by existing pet owners.
• Lawful livestock and agricultural animal listings.
• Lawfully kept small animals, aquarium animals, and birds, where permitted.
• Nonregulated pet supplies, such as toys, cages, and accessories.

Adoption or rehoming fees must be accurately disclosed and may not be used to disguise prohibited commercial animal sales.

Zamda may require additional documentation, restrict particular animal species, or remove listings involving suspected animal welfare concerns.

4.3 California and Other State Restrictions

Animal possession, sale, transport, and adoption requirements vary by state and locality.

For example, California has specific restrictions concerning pet store sourcing and certain wild or restricted species.

Users are responsible for determining whether the animal may legally be possessed and transferred at both the seller's and recipient's locations.

A listing appearing on Zamda does not establish that an animal is legally transferable.

5. Stolen, Counterfeit and Fraudulent Goods

Prohibited on Zamda:

• Stolen or unlawfully obtained property.
• Counterfeit products, fake designer goods, and unauthorized replicas marketed as genuine.
• Items with unlawfully removed, altered, or falsified identifying numbers.
• Forged identity documents, licenses, certifications, or government records.
• Fraudulent tickets, vouchers, gift certificates, and redemption codes.
• Pirated software, movies, games, music, or digital content.
• Items sold using stolen photographs or materially false ownership claims.
• Products subject to unlawful diversion, fraud, or unauthorized resale restrictions imposed by law.

Users must have the legal right to advertise and transfer the products they list.

6. Adult Content and Sexual Services

Prohibited on Zamda:

• Prostitution, escort services offering sexual activity, and sexual services.
• Sexually explicit advertisements or services.
• Pornographic content, paid adult content, and sexually explicit live performances.
• Adult sexual stimulation products, including sex toys and BDSM equipment.
• Used intimate apparel advertised for sexual or fetish purposes.
• Sexual exploitation, coercion, trafficking, or solicitation.
• Any sexual content involving minors.

Ordinary clothing, personal care products, and lawful nonsexual wellness services are not prohibited solely because they relate to the human body.

Content involving suspected exploitation of minors may be reported to the appropriate authorities as required or permitted by law.

7. Prescription Products, Medical Devices and Health Claims

Prohibited on Zamda:

• Prescription medications and prescription-only medical products.
• Controlled medications, unauthorized pharmaceutical products, and unapproved drugs.
• Medical devices requiring a prescription or special authorization for lawful transfer.
• Used or potentially contaminated medical devices that create a material safety risk.
• Human organs, tissues, blood, and other prohibited human biological materials.
• Vaccines, injectables, and prescription medical treatments offered outside lawful distribution channels.
• Unregulated steroids, hormones, or similar high-risk products.
• Products marketed with false, deceptive, or unsubstantiated disease treatment or cure claims.

Over-the-counter health products may be restricted based on their safety, regulatory status, labeling, condition, or marketing claims.

Zamda may prohibit additional medical products even if certain sales would otherwise be lawful.

8. Hazardous Chemicals and Dangerous Materials

Prohibited on Zamda:

• Explosives and explosive materials.
• Radioactive materials.
• Toxic substances and regulated chemical agents presenting significant safety risks.
• Chemical weapons and prohibited chemical precursors.
• Mercury, asbestos, lead-based hazardous materials, and other substances restricted from sale or distribution.
• Dangerous industrial chemicals requiring special authorization or handling that Zamda cannot reasonably verify.
• Highly hazardous pesticides, poisons, and other restricted chemical products.
• Improperly stored, damaged, leaking, or unidentified hazardous substances.
• Materials promoted for unlawful manufacture of weapons, explosives, or drugs.

Certain ordinary automotive, household, construction, and maintenance products may be permitted when lawful, properly packaged, accurately described, and compliant with applicable requirements.

However, Zamda may restrict flammable liquids, fuels, compressed gases, batteries, and other hazardous products where transaction, transport, or safety risks are significant.

9. Illegal, Deceptive or Harmful Services

Prohibited on Zamda:

• Hacking, unauthorized account access, and cybercrime services.
• Identity theft, document forgery, and fraudulent verification services.
• Money laundering, financial fraud, and deceptive investment schemes.
• Pyramid schemes and fraudulent recruitment opportunities.
• Illegal gambling and unauthorized gambling-related services.
• Fake reviews, ratings, followers, or engagement sold to deceive others.
• Academic cheating services, including completing work intended to be submitted dishonestly as another person's own work.
• Immigration fraud and unauthorized representations of professional credentials.
• Services promoting violence, exploitation, trafficking, or other unlawful conduct.
• Services intended to evade legal requirements or facilitate unlawful transactions.

Legitimate professional services must comply with applicable licensing, advertising, and professional practice requirements.

Zamda may request evidence of licensing or qualifications when appropriate.

10. Vehicle and Automotive Restrictions

Prohibited on Zamda:

• Stolen vehicles, trailers, motorcycles, or vehicle parts.
• Vehicles with fraudulent, unlawfully altered, or removed VINs.
• Vehicles advertised using forged ownership or title documents.
• Odometer fraud and deliberate misrepresentation of mileage.
• Illegal emissions defeat devices and equipment advertised for unlawful emissions tampering.
• Vehicle parts obtained through theft or other illegal activity.
• Vehicles or modifications that cannot legally be transferred as advertised.
• Fraudulent vehicle history reports or title-related services.

Vehicles with salvage, rebuilt, lien, nonoperational, or other special title status are not automatically prohibited, provided the listing and transaction are lawful and all legally required material disclosures are made.

Users must comply with applicable title, registration, dealership, safety, emissions, and consumer protection laws.

11. Housing, Property and Rental Restrictions

Prohibited on Zamda:

• Fake property or rental listings.
• Listings published without legal authority to advertise the property.
• Fraudulent landlords, agents, or property management representations.
• Deceptive deposits, application fees, or rental payment requests.
• Unlawful discriminatory housing advertisements or practices.
• False statements about property ownership, availability, location, or material characteristics.
• Fraudulent timeshare, foreclosure, or property investment schemes.
• Listings offering property transactions that violate applicable law.

Lawful application fees, security deposits, and advance payments are not automatically prohibited merely because payment is requested before occupancy.

Property listings must comply with applicable federal, state, and local housing laws, including fair housing requirements.

12. Copyright, Digital Products and Intellectual Property

Prohibited on Zamda:

• Pirated software, media, games, and unauthorized digital copies.
• Stolen or compromised software licenses, accounts, or access credentials.
• Devices advertised primarily for unauthorized access to protected content or services.
• Counterfeit trademarks, logos, or branded goods.
• Copyrighted photographs, artwork, designs, or other materials used without required permission.
• Illegally obtained databases or personal information.
• Digital products or services designed to circumvent cybersecurity protections unlawfully.

Legitimate, transferable digital goods may be permitted when the seller has the rights necessary to transfer them and the listing complies with applicable law and platform rules.

13. Food, Dietary Supplements and Consumables

Prohibited on Zamda:

• Expired, recalled, contaminated, or otherwise unsafe food products.
• Infant formula offered through unauthorized or unsafe resale channels.
• Homemade foods sold without required authorization or in violation of applicable food safety laws.
• Meat, dairy, seafood, or other perishable products offered in violation of applicable handling and licensing requirements.
• Dietary supplements containing prohibited substances or marketed with unlawful or unsubstantiated medical claims.
• High-risk weight-loss products and unregulated performance-enhancing supplements.
• Unlabeled, improperly packaged, or adulterated consumable products.

Lawful food sales may be subject to federal, state, and local permits, labeling rules, and sanitation requirements.

A home-prepared product is not necessarily illegal simply because it was made at home. However, Zamda may restrict it when required compliance cannot reasonably be established.

14. Recalled, Unsafe and Noncompliant Products

Prohibited on Zamda:

• Products that are subject to an applicable safety recall and may not lawfully be resold.
• Consumer products banned from sale under applicable law.
• Products that fail mandatory safety requirements.
• Children's products that violate applicable safety standards.
• Unsafe or unlawfully modified electrical products.
• Items with known serious safety defects that are concealed or materially misrepresented.
• Products lacking legally required safety certifications, warnings, or labels where applicable.

This applies to both new and used products Users should check relevant recall notices before listing potentially affected products.

A recalled product may only be listed if its sale is lawful after an authorized recall remedy has been completed and all applicable conditions are met.

15. Baby Products and Child Safety

Certain baby and children's products can present serious safety risks.

Zamda prohibits:

• Recalled cribs, bassinets, strollers, car seats, and other children's products.
• Baby products prohibited under applicable safety regulations.
• Products with missing or damaged components that create serious safety hazards.
• Children's products that violate applicable labeling, testing, or safety requirements.
• Counterfeit children's safety equipment.
• Items marketed for unsafe infant sleep or other prohibited uses.

Child car seats, helmets, and other protective equipment must be accurately described. Zamda may restrict items with an unknown history, material structural damage, or other significant safety concerns.

Users should independently verify applicable safety standards, recalls, expiration information, and manufacturer guidance.

16. Animal Products and Wildlife Materials

Prohibited on Zamda:

• Ivory and unlawfully traded elephant products.
• Rhinoceros horn and other prohibited wildlife parts.
• Products derived from endangered or protected species where trade is prohibited.
• Illegally obtained animal skins, furs, feathers, shells, or other wildlife materials.
• Animal fighting equipment or products intended to facilitate unlawful animal cruelty.
• Wildlife products lacking documentation required for lawful transfer.

Zamda may prohibit additional wildlife-derived products where their legal status or origin cannot reasonably be established.

17. Financial Products, Money and Gambling

Prohibited on Zamda:

• Fraudulent loans, investment schemes, and deceptive financial offers.
• Illegal securities offerings and unauthorized financial solicitation.
• Money laundering services or transactions.
• Stolen financial information, bank accounts, payment credentials, or identity records.
• Counterfeit currency and fraudulent financial instruments.
• Illegal lottery tickets, gambling services, and betting-related transactions.
• Cryptocurrency, digital tokens, or other financial products offered through unauthorized or deceptive schemes.
• Services designed to evade financial reporting, licensing, or anti-fraud requirements.

Zamda may restrict financial products and services even where particular activities are legal under applicable law.

18. Personal Information, Accounts and Digital Access

Prohibited on Zamda:

• Selling or distributing stolen personal information.

• Passwords, login credentials, and compromised accounts.

• Social Security numbers, identity documents, or financial records offered without lawful authorization.

• Hacked social media, email, gaming, or other online accounts.

• Unauthorized access tokens, authentication codes, or account recovery services.

• Spyware, credential-stealing software, or malicious surveillance tools.

• Databases obtained or distributed in violation of privacy or security laws.

• Legitimate technical support services are not prohibited, but they may not involve unauthorized access, deception, or unlawful handling of personal information.

19. Tickets, Vouchers and Promotional Offers

Prohibited on Zamda:

• Counterfeit or fraudulently obtained tickets.
• Tickets transferred or resold in violation of applicable law.
• Stolen gift cards, vouchers, coupons, or promotional codes.
• Offers designed to deceive buyers about admission rights, validity, or restrictions.
• Unauthorized resale of benefits or entitlements that are legally nontransferable.

Lawful ticket or voucher resale may be allowed only when permitted by applicable law, issuer restrictions, and Zamda policies.

20. Fraudulent, Misleading or Manipulative Listings

Regardless of the item category, Zamda prohibits:

• Listings for nonexistent products or services presented as genuine.
• False claims of ownership or availability.
• Deliberately misleading photographs, prices, descriptions, or conditions.
• Fake shipping, escrow, verification, or payment requirements.
• Impersonation of Zamda administrators or support personnel.
• Duplicate listings posted to manipulate visibility or search results.
• Listings used primarily to collect personal information through deception.
• Fraudulent advertisements disguised as legitimate employment, housing, or business opportunities.

Listings identified as demonstrations or tests must not mislead users into believing an unavailable product or service is genuinely offered for sale.

21. Additional Restrictions and Category Requirements

Some items and services may be lawful but still require additional review.

Examples include:

• Professional services requiring licenses or permits.
• Commercial sales of regulated products.
• Specialized agricultural or industrial equipment.
• Certain vehicle modifications and replacement parts.
• Health-related products and services.
• Animal transfers and adoption listings.
• Food products requiring permits or special handling.
• Goods subject to transportation or hazardous materials restrictions.

Zamda may request clarification or supporting documentation, restrict specific items, or decline listings when reasonably necessary for legal compliance, user safety, or platform integrity.

No approval, publication, or continued availability of a listing constitutes a legal certification, product safety endorsement, or guarantee by Zamda.

22. Enforcement and Account Actions

Zamda may review reported or otherwise identified listings and account activity.

Depending on the circumstances, actions may include:

• Requesting additional information.
• Rejecting or removing a listing.
• Issuing a warning.
• Restricting messaging or posting privileges.
• Temporarily suspending an account.
• Terminating an account.
• Preserving relevant information or responding to lawful requests.

Serious suspected fraud, exploitation, or threats to safety may justify immediate action without advance notice.

Moderation decisions may consider the available evidence, seriousness of the concern, repeated violations, and applicable legal requirements.

Zamda does not guarantee that every prohibited listing will be identified or removed before another user sees it.

23. Reporting Prohibited Content

If you find a listing or user activity that may violate this Policy, please use an available Report function or contact our support team.

When possible, include the listing URL and a brief description of the concern.

Do not send passwords, verification codes, or unnecessary sensitive personal information.

If you believe someone is in immediate danger, contact emergency services.

24. Changes to This Policy

Zamda may update this Policy in response to changes in applicable law, safety concerns, platform features, or enforcement practices.

The effective date will be updated when a revised version is published.

Additional notice will be provided when required by applicable law.
