GETTING STARTED


What is Zamda?

Zamda is a free local marketplace where people can buy and sell items in their community. We connect buyers and sellers in the same area for safe, convenient, in-person transactions.

Is Zamda really free to use?

Yes! Creating an account and posting listings on Zamda is 100% free. We don't charge listing fees, commissions, or hidden costs. You keep all the money from your sales.

Do I need an account to browse listings?

No, you can browse listings without an account. However, you'll need to create a free account to contact sellers, post your own listings, or save favorites.

How do I create an account?

Click "Sign Up" at the top of the page, enter your email address and create a password. You'll receive a verification email to confirm your account. It takes less than 1 minute!

What areas does Zamda serve?

Zamda is available nationwide across the United States. You can search for items in your city or set your location to see listings near you.

POSTING LISTINGS


How do I post a listing?

1. Log in to your account
2. Click "Place an Ad" or "+" button
3. Choose a category
4. Add photos (up to 10)
5. Write a title and description
6. Set your price
7. Add your location
8. Click "Post"
Your listing will be live immediately!


How many photos can I add?

You can add up to 10 photos per listing. We recommend using high-quality, well-lit photos that clearly show your item from multiple angles. The first photo will be the main thumbnail.

Can I edit or delete my listing?

Yes! Go to "My Listings," find the listing you want to edit, and click "Edit" to make changes or "Delete" to remove it. You can update your listing anytime.

How long do listings stay active?

Listings remain active for 60 days. You can renew or delete them at any time. If your item sells, please mark it as sold or delete the listing to avoid unnecessary messages.

Why was my listing removed?

Listings may be removed if they violate our Terms of Use, Community Guidelines, or Prohibited Items Policy. Common reasons include: selling prohibited items (weapons, drugs, etc.), using inappropriate language, posting spam, or violating intellectual property rights. What items can I NOT sell on Zamda?

You cannot sell weapons, drugs, counterfeit goods, stolen property, adult content, live animals from breeders, prescription medications, and other prohibited items. See our complete Prohibited Items Policy for the full list.

BUYING ON ZAMDA


How do I buy something?


1. Browse or search for items
2. Click on a listing to see details
3. Click "Contact Seller" or "Send Message"
4. Send a message asking questions or making an offer
5. Arrange a safe meetup location
6. Inspect the item in person
7. Pay cash (recommended) and take your item home!

How do I contact a seller?

Click "Send Message" on any listing. You'll need to be logged in to send messages. Use our in-platform messaging system to communicate until you're ready to share your phone number.

Can I negotiate the price?

Yes! Most sellers are open to reasonable offers. Be polite and respectful when making an offer. Lowball offers may be ignored.

How do I know if a seller is trustworthy?

Check the seller's profile, read reviews if available, and trust your instincts. Always meet in public places, inspect items before paying, and never wire money to strangers. See our Safety Guidelines for more tips.

What if the item isn't as described?

Always inspect items thoroughly before paying. Zamda is a platform for local, in-person transactions — we do not process payments or provide buyer protection. If you receive a misrepresented item, you can report the seller, but we cannot issue refunds. This is why we strongly recommend inspecting items in person first.

SELLING ON ZAMDA


How do I get paid?


Zamda does not process payments. You arrange payment directly with the buyer. We recommend accepting cash in person. You can also use digital payment apps like Venmo, PayPal, Zelle, or Cash App, but be aware that these may not offer seller protection for person-to-person transactions.

Do I need to ship items?

No, Zamda is designed for local, in-person transactions. We do not facilitate shipping. Buyers and sellers meet in person to complete transactions. This keeps costs low and reduces scams.

What if a buyer doesn't show up?

No-shows happen sometimes. Always confirm the meeting time and location before heading out. If a buyer doesn't show, you can relist your item or contact other interested buyers.

Can I sell the same item on other platforms?

Yes, you can cross-post your items on multiple platforms. Just remember to remove your listing from Zamda once your item sells to avoid wasting buyers' time.

How do I mark an item as sold?

Go to "My Listings," find the sold item, and click "Mark as Sold" or "Delete." This prevents buyers from contacting you about items that are no longer available.

SAFETY AND SECURITY


Where should I meet buyers or sellers?


ALWAYS meet in safe, public places like:
- Police station parking lots (Safe Exchange Zones)
- Shopping centers or malls
- Coffee shops or restaurants
- Bank lobbies
- Well-lit gas stations

NEVER meet at your home or a secluded location. Many police departments offer Safe Exchange Zones monitored by cameras. See our Community Guidelines for more safety tips.

What is a Safe Exchange Zone?

Safe Exchange Zones are designated areas, usually in police station parking lots, monitored by security cameras. They provide a safe, neutral location for completing online transactions. Contact your local police department to find a Safe Exchange Zone near you.

How can I avoid scams?

- Meet in public places
- Inspect items before paying
- Use cash for in-person transactions
- NEVER wire money or send payment before meeting
- Don't click suspicious links in messages
- Trust your instincts — if it feels wrong, walk away
- Report suspicious users immediately


What if I encounter a scammer?

Report the user immediately by clicking the "Report" button on their profile or listing. Provide details about the scam. We will investigate and take appropriate action, including banning the user and reporting to authorities if necessary.

Can I report a listing or user?

Yes! Click the "Report" button on any listing or user profile. Select the reason for your report (scam, prohibited item, harassment, etc.) and submit. Our team will review all reports.

ACCOUNT MANAGEMENT


How do I change my password?


Go to "Account Settings" and click "Change Password." Enter your current password and your new password. Click "Save." We recommend using a strong, unique password.

How do I update my email or phone number?

Go to "Account Settings" and update your email or phone number. You may need to verify your new email address by clicking a confirmation link.

I forgot my password. What should I do?

Click "Forgot Password" on the login page. Enter your email address and we'll send you a password reset link. Follow the instructions in the email to create a new password.

How do I delete my account?

Go to "Account Settings" and click "Delete Account." You'll be asked to confirm your decision. Once deleted, your account, listings, and messages will be permanently removed. This action cannot be undone. Alternatively, email us at support@zamda.net to request account deletion.

Why was my account suspended or banned?

Accounts may be suspended or banned for violating our Terms of Use, Community Guidelines, or Prohibited Items Policy. Common reasons include posting prohibited items, scamming users, harassment, or fraudulent activity. If you believe your account was suspended in error, contact us at support@zamda.net.

PAYMENTS AND FEES


Does Zamda charge any fees?

No! Posting listings is 100% free. We don't charge listing fees, commissions, or transaction fees. You keep all the money from your sales.

How do I pay for items?

Zamda does not process payments. You pay the seller directly in person. We recommend using cash to avoid scams. If using digital payment methods (Venmo, PayPal, Zelle, Cash App), only send payment AFTER you've received and inspected the item.

Are there any premium features?

Currently, all features on Zamda are free. We may introduce optional premium features in the future (such as promoted listings), but basic posting will always remain free.

TECHNICAL ISSUES


The website isn't loading. What should I do?

Try refreshing the page, clearing your browser cache, or using a different browser. If the problem persists, check our social media or contact us at support@zamda.net to see if there's a known issue.

I can't upload photos. What's wrong?

Make sure your photos are in JPG, PNG, or WEBP format and under 10MB each. If you're still having trouble, try resizing your images or using a different browser. Contact us at support@zamda.net if the issue continues.

My messages aren't sending. What should I do?

Check your internet connection and make sure you're logged in. If messages still aren't sending, try logging out and logging back in. Contact support@zamda.net if the problem persists.

What information should I include when contacting support?

- Listing URL (if applicable)

- Steps you've already tried

Can I suggest a new feature?

Yes! We love hearing from our users. Send your feature suggestions to support@zamda.net. While we can't implement every suggestion, we read and consider all feedback.

How does Zamda protect my privacy?

What is your refund policy?

Zamda does not process payments or offer refunds. All transactions occur directly between buyers and sellers. We recommend inspecting items in person before paying to avoid disputes.
